I bought the full set for one of my R170’s and I’m pleased to report that these brackets are of very good quality and will probably outlive me and the rest of the car.
Ordered Thursday, arrived Friday – can’t ask for better than that 🙂
Said car is in the ‘shop at the moment and the guys that are carrying out the bodywork restoration have trial-fitted the brackets with M8 Bolts and are very happy with them – you cannot buy the brackets from MB so you have 3 choices – make your own, buy a set of similar from a German co. (mild steel), or get the Stainless 304 items from Carbino which, as stated will last forever
I’m pleased with these brackets and have found that Jonas is a top guy to deal with. I’ve found him to be very friendly and helpful with any questions that I’ve asked and will buy another set for one of my other R170’s as and when the need arises 🙂
